The Gods Lie summary: The soccer team's star player, eleven-year-old Natsuru Nanao, struggles to communicate with girls due to a traumatic event that happened after he transferred to his current school. Despite the absence of his father, Natsuru remains dedicated to his soccer goals and dreams of becoming a professional player. One day, Rio Suzumura, a female classmate, approaches Natsuru and changes his life forever. While bonding after saving an abandoned cat, Natsuru becomes smitten with Rio.
